In 1700, Arnold Van Vossen sailed to the “New World” to find a new home for his family. He liked what he found in Ohio and returned to fetch the family. Along with wife, Mary, they raised 7 children on the farm. Some children slowly changed their names from Van Vossen to Van Fossen and moved their families to new farms in Iowa and Oklahoma.
